Sail

3.6 m  with four battens, made by R+J sails of Clevedon, near Bristol. There is a new, larger light-wind sail completing testing.  See the main picture on the Contact page.

Boom

Two lengths of slot-together aluminium  tube, two Ronstan pulleys, stainless steel fittings and 10 mm diameter rope.

Mast

Four lengths of 1.2m long slot-together aluminium tube, which assembles to give an overall length of 4.35m.

Wheels

Eight inch diameter red plastic wheelbarrow wheels, with two 6003-type bearings, 17mm stainless steel spindle bolts and 44cm long rear axles in aluminium tube.

Assembly

No tools are required. The rear wheels are kept on their axles and the rear axles slot into the rear chassis, held in place by hand-sized "twizzly" bolts.

The middle part with the mast mounting, slots into the rear chassis with a choice of four settings, held in place by two stainless steel "poppers", so the length of the yacht is adjustable to suit your height and leg-length.

The front-end, with the front wheel, footrest etc slots into the tube at the front end of the middle bit, secured by a "twizzly" bolt.

It’s that simple. You are now ready to go Land Sailing!
